Come on. This place is from another planet. Best restaurant I have ever been to in my life. People giving this place anything below 5-stars have bizarre taste. I cried from almost every bite. This is the pinnacle of artistic achievement. I'll put some photos but really you just have to go and have an open mind. Trust the chef, trust the waiter, trust the food. It will be a transformative experience.

Having researched restaurants prior to going to Charleston for a few days, FIG stood out as one that my counterpart & I HAD to go to. And boy were we glad we did (and relieved that we managed to snag one of the last reservations on Resy for that evening!). It was fantastic, definitely held up to its high praise. The waitress was so kind, attentive, really made you feel "at home." The food-- we split several appetizers & then each had a dessert-- was appropriately unique yet comfortably recognizable. Alas I only took a picture of the okra. The dessert-- I had the chocolate budino--finally had some chocolately richness to it that other places seem to shy away from. 10/10 would recommend and 100% would go again! *They change their menu so there's always something new!*

Food and service were excellent. Only disappointment was that they ran out of the fish we ordered and the replacement swordfish was a little disappointing. The dessert was especially good

We were greeted by friendly and enthusiastic faces. Sat immediately, although we were 15 minutes early. Justin promptly came over and introduced himself, poring water and giving us menus. He was great, making wonderful recommendations and was so attentive. The entire restaurant followed a white glove service (minus the gloves), Justin was meticulous about being on top of when we needed refills, changing out silverware and removing dishes as we finished. Fig has a fairly small and refined menu, that being said, we still had a hard time deciding what to choose. This is where we lent on Justin. We decided to share the Gnocchi Lamb Bolognese to start, the lightest and most melt-in-my-mouth gnocchi ever, the sauce was thin & didn't over power the little pillows but was absolutely perfect. If licking the place was apprapro, we probably would have! I decided on the Jumbo Flounder en Croute ~ cooked to perfection, sitting on the most delicious clam chowder with peas and tarragon. My friend got the Bouillabaisse, full of sweet Carolina shrimp, tile fish, local summer vegetables, served with fresh brown bread. Although I couldn't finish my meal, I did have a bite of the cream puffs, filled with a custard type light cream. We ended with cappuccinos. Our experience was nothing but amazing, Fig will now be another "go-to" restaurant, next time we visit! Definitely give it a try. Great place for a date, has a nice bar if meeting friends, they also have a great seating area for larger parties around the corner of the restaurant (I'd have never have known if I hadn't gone to the bathroom) I had read reviews where people complained about the price, yes on the higher end, but all in all, you get what you pay for!

What an exquisite place! The sign at the front stated that FIG = Food Is Good. At this place? It certainly is! Our server (Dana) was very knowledgeable of the history of the dishes, and drinks that paired well with them. They do have a sommelier available to assist in selecting appropriate wines to coordinate with meals. We opted for the well-reviewed ricotta gnocchi. It definitely has earned its reputation, with its silky texture and pillow softness. The bluefin crudo was also light and a nice palate cleanser for our next course. Our mains consisted of the wagyu dish and the bouillabaisse. The wagyu was fork tender (cooked medium rare), and the bouillabaisse was bright and full of flavor. We were way too full to have dessert, but if we were to return, we would need to try the sticky sorghum pudding with walnuts and amaretto ice cream. See you next time, FIG!

Oh, Fig, you so impressed me and it's not a figment of my imagination. Farm to table concept. The dining experience at Fig is above and beyond. The shrimp spaghetti might just be my favorite pasta dish. The flavors were delish. The crispy shallots balanced out the bite of the arugula salad with the sharpness of pecorino and earthy matsutake mushroom. Creative culinary dishes.

e had an early dinner around 5:30 pm since it's the only time they had for reservation. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable on the drinks and meal menu. The inside of the restaurant was nice and has the dim romantic light setting but not a modern styles. The appetizers were great and our dinner was good too. Their dinner portion is quite small so be ready to order different appetizers before your dinner but the food is good!

Really enjoyed this spot. I stumbled in on a girls' trip not realizing it was supposed to be a Big Deal, so I didn't have any expectations beyond hoping for yummy food. The dining room was beautiful. I love a place with low light. We had a passionate, fun waiter who explained basically every single dish on the menu and said each one was his favorite. Who could blame him. We all had cocktails, which all looked beautiful but weren't very good, I'm sorry to say. We also ordered the gnocchi, oysters, cottage cheese, Yukon gold puree, young arugula salad, shrimp scampi, and steak and shared it family-style. Everything was truly delicious, although I remain skeptical on the prices. If you're going to charge $20 for a salad, I sincerely hope it's because you pay your staff very very well. Overall, I'm glad we had the experience but if I come back to Charleston it wouldn't make the top of my list to try again.

When vacationing in Charleston, we always enjoy the dining scene. Charleston has so many fine dining restaurants to choose from so I always want to try something new when I vacation in the area. The top of my go to list is FIG. Which means, Food Is Good. Hey, I'm in for some figgy food. Let's get this review underway! Our hotel is close by so we walked a few blocks to the restaurant. Once inside we were greeted and seated promptly. I'm going to get the party started with a Fig Filthy Martini. Made with Ketel One Olive Oil washed Vodka, this was a stirred, not shaken perfect martini. My sister in law and I zeroed in on the homemade pate. The Chicken Liver Pate was very flavorful, it was an excellent starter dish. The Ricotta Gnocchi alla Bolognese was very light compared to the typical starchy potato Gnocchi. From the sauce to the cheese, another enjoyable dish. So far FIG is getting figgy with all servings. What impressed me the most? Our waiter. Man... he explained in great detail every dish we ordered, he knew the menu inside and out. I ordered a Sangiovese wine, kudos again to the wine sommelier. Excellent choice for the low country dishes being served. I'm not sure what Pan Roasted Coulotte Steak cut I was served but it was cooked perfectly and had an amazing flavor. We're all pretty packed but asked for (4) spoons as we dug into the Carolina Gold Rice Pudding. A perfect dessert to end the perfect meal. If you're in the Charleston area, I highly recommend dining at FIG.
